Scott Zanon had two older brothers who played basketball at the University of Montana, and he followed their footsteps to Missoula. He spent four years playing basketball under Mike Montgomery and Stew Morrill and also played on the hardwood with Larry Krystowiak and Wayne Tinkle before a long career working for Nike. Zanon's best season was his senior season with Morrill as the head coach when he averaged 17.1 points for a team that finished third in the Big Sky Conference.
