Join Chris Kolakowski, noted historian and author, for an in-depth discussion about the Berlin Airlift. Soon after World War II ended, in June 1948, Soviet forces began blocking access to the Allied-controlled areas of Berlin. This resulted in a humanitarian crisis and would mark the start of the Cold War. Chris has spent his career interpreting and preserving American military history. He has written and spoken on various aspects of military history from 1775 to the present.
