Tree of Inspiration By Urban-Regeneration-Mix Urbact The Urban-Regeneration-Mix is an international network for the transfer of the URBACT Good Practice in the field of the social dimension of revitalisation, which aims to increase the involvement of citizens and their participation in the process of revitalising urban spaces. The project involves seven partner cities: Lodz - Lead Partner, Baena, Birmingham, Bologna Metropole, Braga, Toulouse Metropole and Zagreb, which are facing the challenges posed to them by degraded areas and the citizens living there. Free to Learn Santa Fe College SF’s Free to Learn initiatives are supported by a Florida Humanities Greater Good: Humanities in Academia Grant for SF’s project Humanities Behind & Beyond Bars. Project initiatives include a podcast series, Free to Learn: Education In and Out of Prison, two Ethics Slams to engage both the SF campus and broader Gainesville community in constructive dialogue about incarceration’s ethical, humanitarian dimensions, and a Spring Symposium, Unlocking Purpose and Potential, which will provide a platform for sharing stories and information, considering the role that education can play in breaking the cycle of incarceration, and exploring steps that we as individuals, and as a collective college community, can take to provide opportunities and a community of care for our citizens who are impacted by incarceration.The aim of this project and its initiatives is (1) to increase public understanding of incarceration in Florida, its impact on Tata Trusts Kal Ka Classroom Maed in India The government of India passed the right to education act in 2009, securing free and compulsory education to all children between the ages of 6 to 14 years. And India currently has 487 million children. So how does a country like ours provide a good quality education to nurture young people into active citizens of a vibrant democracy?In this podcast series, Tata Trusts aims to highlight the progress, celebrate the achievements and understand the challenges faced by educators.
