Cannabis Public Policy | 420 Somewhere with Dr. Michael Sofis Michael Sofis, PhD Dr. Sofis leads data analytics, research, and product innovation at #Cannabis #Public #Policy Consulting, where he provides products and service for state agencies, digital technology companies, nonprofit organizations, and scientific collaborators. He headed the development of CPPC’s Regulatory Determinants of Cannabis Outcomes Survey and Cannabis Policy Simulation Lab. Dr. Sofis specializes in public health-focused research designed to better understand and mitigate problematic cannabis use. He has led research studies for cannabis regulatory agencies in several states, and is currently leading a pilot project testing the efficacy of a digital intervention for reducing problematic cannabis use. After earning his Ph.D. in behavioral psychology at the University of Kansas. Dr. Sofis completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Dartmouth College funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. He has published 27 peer reviewed scientific papers, including 13 on the impacts of cannabis legalization and cannabis health outcomes.
