Casey Kelley, MD: A Functional Approach to Lyme Disease | The Healing Grove Podcast

from The Healing Grove Podcast · host Kristin Reihman, MD

This week I would like you to meet Dr. Casey Kelley.Dr. Kelley is the Founder and Medical Director of Case Integrative Health in Chicago, IL. While she was earning her medical degree at Ohio State University, Dr. Kelley became increasingly ill. Her symptoms included extreme fatigue, trouble breathing, dizziness, elevated heart rate, and brain fog. Though doctors assured her that her healthy issues were simply due to stress, she knew there was something else at the root of her health crisis. Eventually, Dr. Kelley was able to get a correct diagnosis for both Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Lyme Disease. She went through treatment and has now been in remission for more than 15 years. This experience is what drives her passion to help others battling chronic illness, and what led her to found Case Integrative Health in 2019. Today she serves patients of all ages across the country, helping get to the root cause of their disease and transforming their health through Functional Medicine. As one of the first physicians to become Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine, Dr. Kelley uses a whole-body approach to dig underneath symptoms to uncover what's broken. She has studied the causes, effects, and treatments of Lyme Disease extensively, and lectures nationally on this and other topics. You can learn more about Dr. Casey Kelley and her work at Case Integrative Health here: https://www.caseintegrativehealth.com*****************************************************************************************If you’d like to be the first to hear about new podcast episodes, sign up for our newsletter.
