Changing The Narrative Surrounding Menopause with Karen O'Connor
from The Self Project Podcast · host The Self Project Studio
After raising four children, Karen O’Connor found herself smack bang in the middle of menopause with zero idea of what to do with her life. Depressed, lonely and majorly hormonal, she was shamefully convinced that she was the only person who felt this way, as everyone she knew seemed to have their act together. But as she began to talk to people, she realized that most people going through midlife experience a similar sort of thing. Karen also realized that everyone has an amazing story to share, so she began podcasting, partly to get those stories out into the world and hopefully to make a difference for the people listening, but also to indulge her love of talking to people and finding out about them. Now Karen has decided to take things a step further and support other people in speaking up and getting their own podcasts out into the world.
