Character Select - Life Hack For Gamers

from Geek Psychology: Play Life Better

Send me a textHere's one of my simple life hacks for gamers that I often use to get out of a bad state and re-focus on the good things and projects in my life. If you're a gamer, geek, or creative, I suggest trying this out! It's your duty to use the things you love to improve your life. Think of it as a call to adventure - one of those moments where life is constantly whispering for you to do something. You can do this is an easy DIY trick to make life more funny, enjoyable, or productive. All you need is to think of the last RPG, other game, or show you watched on your phone and imagine how those characters would handle your problem. Light up new neural pathways, tap into more resourceful states in your brain, and get back out there! You love gaming. So you know what it's like to get obsessed with something. To get so lost in a world that makes sense. And it comes with its own set of rules. And if you've ever been totally engrossed in a game, then you probably know the feeling of getting really invested in a character. And this kind of immersion is actually really useful, you know, when you're playing a video game, you have to learn how to apply different mindsets and strategies in order to win.And it's the same in real life, too.If you're telling yourself things, like, \"I can't do this because I'm not good enough.\"Or \"it's not perfect \" or you're holding yourself back.Well, guess what? You're playing the game wrong. So one quick little hack for yourself here is to ask yourself,\"What character knows how to fix this problem.\"And how can I use their approach to make it easier for me?Do you need to think like a mage?Do you need to run in there and start swinging like a warrior.Do you need to focus on the loot drops or the bigger Quest? That's up to you to decide but,you know, you already have more resources within you than you think.Original YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/BM8luxQnMeg****Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology ****FREE 8 Hero Personality Assessment: https://geekpsychology.com/ Support the Show.
