Conversations - Brian Smith

In dirt racing, for every Donny Schatz and Brad Sweet there are dozens of guys like Brian Smith. Brian is a regular in 410 competition at Fremont Speedway in Ohio, but is far from a professional racer. He has a full time job during the week and a family to look after, but has figured out a formula to get himself to the track each week and compete. He joins me on this episode to talk about how he makes it all work, his full time All Star season back in 1998, how he ran second to Cole Macedo a few weeks ago when he didn't even plan on racing, and his post race traditions of freezer pops and Hot Wheels races for the kids. Brian had me laughing the whole time and I left our conversation with a ton of respect for him.
