Covenant Community 101: What Are You Thinking? - Part 12

from Messianic Torah Observant Israel · host Steve Berkson

Can the dead come to life today? Rabbi Steve Berkson kicks this teaching off by taking you to Ephesians 2 where the Apostle Paul writes about the dead coming to life. This is also found in Colossians 3 where it reads, “If, then, you were raised with Messiah…Do you know what things to do to please your spouse? Are you doing what is pleasing to The Creator, in the way He intended? Rabbi Steve takes you to Matthew 22 to begin to understand what you need to do in order to please Abba. We see Yeshua quoting the “v’ahavta”, Deuteronomy 6:5-9, saying that we should love Yahweh with all of our mind. Also as is written in Philippians 2:5 that you “let this mind be in you that was also in Messiah Yeshua.” The word ‘let’ indicates a personal responsibility to allow this to happen. In Romans 12 Rabbi Steve brings out that it is your “reasonable service” to renew your mind so that you will know how to please your Heavenly Father. Again, it is evident that it is your responsibility to do this as you are motivated by love–His for you and yours for Him.Yeshua said, “take my yoke upon you”, referring to His teaching and discipleship. Rabbi Steve takes you to Luke 24 to make the point of discipleship under an anointed and appointed teacher being crucial to learning the correct way of thinking about how you walk out your faith.Related Teachings can be found here, http://mtoi.org/learn_with_us/learn_with_us.shtmlThe Fear of YahwehDo You Know the Father and the Son?To He Who OvercomesDon't miss out on new teachings every week.
