The devil is seen all over scripture not as a personality worthy of emulation but, on the contrary, one known to be cunning, crafty and full of subtlety and not to be emulated in any way. He is called by numerous names in scripture in accordance with his dark and evil personality and, according to today's Daily Devotional, all must be on guard and vigilant so as not to give place to him in their lives. The Devotional gives several warnings on avoiding whatever will make the devil to gain a foothold in one's life. May 12, 2026.
