Dancing Through Uncertainty

from Uncertain Pathfinders · host Jeffrey Schwab

Welcome to our 3rd episode of the Uncertain Pathfinders, or the UP podcast. This is the podcast where we ask YOU to share your stories of Uncertainty as we unlock possibilities together. On this episode, our cohosts, Jeffrey Schwab and Miranda Wang are joined by Jasmine Ow, 胡鉫敏. Please read below for her introduction: Originally from Malaysia, Jasmine moved to Taiwan at 19 to study Industrial Design at National Cheng Kung University. Before making that decision, she had a strong passion for dance and dreamed of pursuing it professionally. However, her family encouraged me to choose a more "practical" path. Despite that, her love for dance remains a significant part of her life. During her studies, she realized she was more passionate about the artistic, experiential side of design than the technical aspects of product creation. This curiosity led her to explore XR technologies in her final year, where she combined her passions for dance and design to create her first project: Your Body is an Ocean. The interactive installation received encouraging feedback at Bangkok Design Week, affirming her belief in the power of blending technology and body movement. That experience sparked a desire to address how people, especially in urban environments, often lose connection with their bodies. To tackle this, she founded SonicStride — a platform designed to help people reconnect with themselves through movement and music. You can check it out here: SonicStride. While the past 1.5 years have been filled with challenges and Uncertainty, her determination to encourage people to move their bodies remains unwavering. Jasmine is also the logo designer for Uncertain Pathfinders! During the episode, she, Miranda, and Jeffrey discuss journeys with Uncertainty, what it means to balance entrepreneurship with our core values, and there's even a bit of Chinese poetry recited! 江雪 is the poem, written in the Tang Dynasty 唐代 by Liu Zongyuan 柳宗元。 Please feel free to reach out to Uncertain Pathfinders at [email protected] to share your stories of Uncertainty on the show. Uncertain Pathfinders was founded by Jeffrey Schwab, and he provides life coaching services with a focus on Uncertainty, applied improv workshops for building team dynamics and communication, as well as facilitating Non Violent Communication workshops. Miranda Wang focuses on meaningfu language immersion programs. They are both located in Taipei, Taiwan and happy to connect! Uncertain Pathfinders Linkedin and Instagram pages. After hundreds of episodes & a family health scare, we went on hiatus and retooled things to include a YouTube channel. We're all about kindness & forward thinking values, robust living, good mental health, social issues and social justice, as well as pop culture, #nerdlife and #spookylife, and thriving in uncertain times. We basically talk about anything & everything relevant in our culture and times today. Hopeful believers, we're paranormal curious and sometimes talk about ghosts, cryptids, and all weird phenomenon because it's just fun. As "empaths," we just want the world to function for regular people, and for the hate and dysfunction be replaced with peace, joy, and normalcy. Good grief, who's got time for all that cultural hate and nonsense?! This show is about self discovery and unleashing our potential as human beings, and enjoying this short but sweet life we are given. Explicit
