An immigration director is slamming the Government after revelations only one person has been approved for the specialist investor visa. The policy launched last September, hoping to bring investors to the country, to boost post-pandemic economic prosperity. Newshub reports the person already lived in New Zealand. Malcolm Pacific Immigration Director David Cooper told Mike Hosking the Government failed to fund proper research into the policy.
