Gilimbaa means ‘today’ in the language of the Wakka Wakka people of Central Queensland. He brings a lifetime of culture and connections to Gilimbaa. David was influenced by his immediate family and his Elders who encouraged him to use his creative skills as a tool to connect his culture to the wider community.

With almost 20 years as a cultural performer working locally, nationally and internationally, David uses creativity as an effective tool of 21st century cultural communication.
