Day 270 Blink Twice | Proverbs 23:4-5

from Wisdom for the Day - Standing Strong · host Rick Yuhas

Send us Fan MailBlink Twice4 Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.     Be wise enough to know when to quit.5 In the blink of an eye wealth disappears,     for it will sprout wings     and fly away like an eagle.Verses 4-5The Book of Proverbs encourages us to work hard. But some people work too hard, because they want to become wealthy. These people suffer because they use all their energy in their work. Their families suffer too. We ought to be sensible. We can lose our money quickly. When we die, we cannot take our money with us (Luke 12:16-21; 1 Timothy 6:7). Many things matter more than money. Love is more important than money. Wisdom is more important than money. And God is more important than money or anything else.Think about this: Greed can be sneaky and cloud our judgment. I’ve received many emails from an African Prince offering millions of dollars if I help them smuggle money. They promise me 25%, 33%, or even 40% of the total—if I just give them my bank account details. Greed makes me want to believe it, but if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.If you want daily truth in a raw, simple format… come follow us on TikTok at Wisdom for the Day — RAW.Real truth.
