Day 4: from Proverbs and Psalms

Proverbs 4- Wisdom is the principal thing; pursue her as treasure and she will promote and honor you.- Avoid the path of the wicked; guard your heart diligently, for out of it spring the issues of life.Psalm 16- The Lord is the psalmist's chosen portion, refuge, and inheritance; in His presence is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore.Psalm 17- David pleads for vindication and protection from enemies, seeking to awaken satisfied with beholding God's face in righteousness.Psalm 18- David praises the Lord as his strength and deliverer who powerfully rescued him from enemies and rewarded his righteousness.Psalm 19- The heavens silently declare God's glory; His perfect law revives the soul, and David prays for cleansing from hidden and presumptuous sins.Psalm 20- The psalm prays for the king's deliverance and victory in trouble, trusting in the name of the Lord rather than chariots and horses.
