No Time For Swing (Random Factor Remix)
from Limpodisco · host Limpodisco
On its third outing, LimpoMedia links up with a bona fide 20:20 Vision don: Random Factor, the project of Carl Finlow. Finlow might be deep in his electro bag these days, but as Random Factor, he blueprinted deep house in one of its purest forms. The release came together in a slightly oddball fashion: the remix actually landed alongside the original cut. Locked in from the very first notes, rinsing the same sample pool (fully licensed, mind you — big up the legal flex). Carl’s version leans into an original sonic palette: a straight-up masterclass in synthesis, arrangement, and mixdown finesse. The original, Limpodisco, takes a slightly different route — digging into a separate batch of dusty wax samples. Vibe-wise, yeah, it plays with that warm, slinky energy you’d associate with Crazy P — but that wasn’t the initial plan, call it the will of the Absolute. From day one, the brief at LimpoMedia was simple: club cuts that also open up those freaky deep house chakras. And the title No Time For Swing, what on earth is that?? Nicked straight off a sticker in a Berlin club. No clue what it means, honestly. And if we had the time to figure it out, we probably would — but we don’t. No one does. Time’s basically cancelled. You spot a sick sticker, you jack the phrase, slap it on the artwork, release, be happy. Try not to look like a freaking AI — just don’t think. Turns out that’s a very human thing.
