Polsia's Shape: One Founder, No Employees, Ten Million Dollars

Three stories from the last week that, taken together, name the shape of the AI-era company — and the shape most CEOs are accidentally building instead. Polsia raised 30 million dollars at a 250 million dollar valuation. The company has approximately 10 million dollars in ARR. The founder, Ben Cera, is the only person at the company. Sound Ventures led; True, Offline, Adjacent, Tekton, Drysdale, and VaynerFund alongside. The agents ran the fundraise. Gartner surveyed 350 senior executives at billion-dollar companies already deploying AI agents. 80 percent had already cut headcount. The companies that cut the most produced almost identical financial returns to the companies that cut the least. Helen Poitevin, VP analyst, on the record: workforce reductions may create budget room, but they do not create return. Walmart disclosed three Sparky numbers on its first-quarter earnings call: customers using Sparky show a 35 percent higher average order value than non-users, weekly active users more than doubled in a single quarter, and units purchased through Sparky more than quadrupled.
