THE UNKNOWN OBSTACLE Romans 14:13 “Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.” Most of us think of a stumblingblock as something obvious like sinful behavior, a bad attitude, or a poor testimony before others. And certainly those things matter. But the word “stumblingblock” carries a much broader meaning. It can mean a barrier, hurdle, obstacle, or hindrance. Sometimes the greatest obstacle in another person’s life is not something we are doing wrong… but something we refuse to do right.
