I’m not really one to make New Year’s resolutions. Instead, I prefer to look back at what I’ve achieved in the past year—the things I’m proud of or the lessons I’ve learned. You never know what the future holds, but you can always learn from the past. Every year, I feel like I say this, but this year really was the craziest one yet. I’m beyond proud of what I’ve accomplished in my music career. The community that Distant and my music have built is just incredible. You’re all so beautiful and kind—a whole new family I never knew I had. On a personal level, though, one of the most important things this year was finding a new sense of direction. Earlier this year, I felt pretty lost—unsure of where I wanted to go or how to get there. I had to dig deep to find both a reason and an answer. Now, I feel like I have a destination, a place I want to reach, and I’m genuinely excited about the journey ahead. In the spirit of learning from the past, this month’s episode has a special nostalgic note to kick off the new year. It’s a way to start fresh while honouring where we’ve come from. I hope you enjoy it, and I wish you all the best health and happiness in the year ahead <3
