DNC Protests ON THE GROUND - Physicians Demand End to Genocidal War on Gaza, Free Healthcare for All

from On Strike! · host On Strike!

On Strike is ON THE GROUND at the Democratic National Convention protests in Chicago. Kshama Sawant speaks with Sabiha Kazi and Ibrahim Ibrahim, both physicians who traveled to Chicago to protest and fight back against Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party’s warmongering in the Middle East. JOIN THE LIVESTREAM of Workers Strike Back’s DISRUPT THE DNC Rally tomorrow, TUESDAY, August 20 @ 6 pm Central / 7 pm Eastern / 4 pm Pacific with Left independent antiwar candidate Jill Stein, socialist & former Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant, and Revolutionary Blackout Network co-founder Nick Cruse. Get notified of the Livestream at the link here: https://youtube.com/live/76vsHiPR5O8?.... And be sure to REGISTER & help us get organized at www.workersstrikeback.org/events/disrupt-the-dnc! Thousands of working people have gathered at the DNC, including many Palestinians from around the country, and are mobilizing to demand an end to the genocidal war on Gaza, an end to U.S. funding of the Israeli war machine, and to demand things that working people need, like free healthcare and affordable housing. “People know deep down that there’s a rot in the healthcare system – I think it’s a good metaphor for the entire system,” said Ibrahim, whose parents are from the West Bank. “But we’re all kind of cogs in this big wheel. And I think what we need is a political movement that can break out of that. And that’s one of the reasons why I’m here.” Be sure to tune into our rally livestream TUESDAY @ 6 pm Central / 7 pm Eastern / 4 pm Pacific: https://youtube.com/live/76vsHiPR5O8?.... Or if you’re in Chicago, join us IN PERSON at Grace Church in Logan Square, 3325 W Wrightwood Ave. And BECOME A MEMBER of Workers Strike Back today, and help us build a movement to fight for an end to the genocidal war on Gaza, a $25/hour minimum wage, Medicare for All, and a new party for working people: www.workersstrikeback.org/join!
