Nehemiah 4

--There is seldom significant spiritual advancement without supernatural opposition.

--1 Peter 4:12: Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

1. Godless opposition disparages God’s work: Nehemiah’s enemies (4:1-3)
   2 Prayer and godly determination go hand-in-hand: Nehemiah’s response (4:4-6)
