Markus Deutsch holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology and has almost 20 years of experience in sports science. He is the CEO of Fusion Sport and is the inventor of the SMARTSPEED product line. His deep understanding of Sports Performance assessment, training and athlete monitoring allows him to guide the evolution and integration of the Fusion’s SMARTSPEED products, SMARTABASE athlete data management solutions and technical integration from a strong background as strength & conditioning coach and sport scientist. Over the years he has worked as a Sport Scientist and Strength & Conditioning coach to many elite teams and athletes, including the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby team and Chelsea Football Club.
