Dream Careers

from JOIN UP DOTS - GET RICH & LIVE FREE (Business Coaching With A Touch Of Life Coaching Too)

Dream careers come in many different forms, and my guest today on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady with an interesting story to how she got her dream career for sure. And one that so many ladies listening today will no doubt feel great resonance with. Starting her career back in 1995 as a Consultant for Accenture she was on a mission. Her ambition was high. Her drive to achieve on full power. There was a ladder to be climbed and she wasn't hanging around on the first rung for anyone. She was getting to the top. So tucking her skirt in, taking off those heels, she climbed quickly, and moved her way through many different companies for the first decade building her skills, learning from different cultures and climbing that corporate ladder. However as her income increased, her business opportunities flourished and the world looked in her direction and said "Good job! You are living the dream!" inside the true story was anything but success. She was unfulfilled personally, and no matter how well her professional life was going, inside their was a void. A void that brought her to the crossroads where a decision, as to where her future lied was waiting for her. As she says " When I was 36 years old, I was unmarried and also felt judged. It seemed that all of my friends were married and having children. And I was so tired of my dates asking me, "Why are you still single?" I longed to find a life partner, but couldn't figure out why my love life wasn't as successful as my professional life. The continual reminder that my husband wasn't showing up led to a growing sense of loss – loss of what should have been and the loss of the life I had hoped to live. After many tears, I decided to do whatever I could to change the trajectory of my love life, including taking a 9 month break from dating. That was scary when I thought I needed to be "out there more than ever!" The path and actions I took led me to increased confidence, joy, self-love, additional professional success and a new life purpose – all before I met my husband. I met my husband at the age of 39. We married one year later." And that change in her personal life coincided with her finding the path that has led her to where she is today, sharing her knowledge with the world as a love coach. Yes, I think this is the first of these that we have had on the show. She has now built a flourishing business coaching ladies everywhere how to find their perfect partner, create that dream-life, and perhaps even getting a little more oomph between the sheets than they have had in the past. So when did she see that this was what she wanted to do in her life, and instead of working tirelessly to build someone else dream it was time to go after her own? And is there a common issue that stops ladies from finding their prince charming and going to the ball? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Jennifer Spaulding
