from Live From My Drum Room!™ · host John DeChristopher

Send me a text and please visit www.livefrommydrumroom.com My guest is the great Myron Grombacher, original drummer and a founding member of the Pat Benatar Band. Myron talks about growing up in Youngstown, Ohio, the Ohio music scene and his long history with guitar great, Neil Giraldo. Myron talks about his playing style and early influences, joining Rick Derringer’s band in the 1970s, along with Neil Giraldo, and his long and successful collaboration with Neil and Pat in the Pat Benatar band, including performing with them during their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Myron and I do a deep dive into Myron’s famous drum kits from the 1980s, which were some of the most visually creative and unique drum kits ever made, to his drum sound and approach to recording all those legendary Pat Benatar hit songs, and much more! Subscribe to Live From My Drum Room! www.youtube.com/c/JohnDeChristopherLiveFromMyDrumRoom*Live From My Drum Room licensed its content to the Modern Drummer Podcast from March 2022 until June 2023. https://livefrommydrumroom.comwww.youtube.com/c/JohnDeChristopherLiveFromMyDrumRoom

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
