E253 - How To Set Healthy Boundaries with Susie Pettit

from The Roller Coaster of Midlife

I hadn’t considered it before, but setting healthy boundaries is an element of self-care because it involves putting ourselves, and our needs, first. Think about it, when we don’t have healthy boundaries we end up feeling taken for granted or advantage of, and like everyone is walking all over us. I’ll admit, that setting boundaries is easier said than done. And setting that first boundary can be scary. I’ve been trying to figure out when and how to set healthy boundaries so when I connected with today’s guest, Susie Pettit – who I’m now calling the Queen of setting boundaries, I knew that we had to chat. In this episode, Susie shares with us how to change our perspective on the importance of boundaries and how to set them (without coming off like a b*tch).
