Education during the Reconstruction Period

from King Cam's Ujumbe Podcast · host Marques D Cameron Sr.,M.Ed

At the dawn of the Black Reconstruction, the newly emancipated Africans in America began to realize a new freedom.  They were free to renew and rebuild their lives.  They also realized their freedom would only be temporary if it remains at the level of capital and labor.   With the clarion call and theme that “Education is Liberation,” the African-American churches in the south and the north stepped in to educate the people. On this podcast, we will discuss African History, Community Service as well as Selfcare.  Starting August 31st I will be the host of the night time radio show Midnight Oil with King Cam.  You can listen on https://www.blogtalkradio.com/nsfatherhood Monday and Wednesday night 10-11:30 pm Central time. I look forward to sharing it with you.  Talk to you soon.
