Here's my entry for round 13 of Everyone Flips which is a Facebook group where participants all make a beat using the same sample, followed by a listening party for all the submissions. And it really freed mine! My track is based on that flute riff in the end of "Half Forgotten Dreams" by John Cameron. As soon as I heard that ending I knew right there where it would take me: to a cool Detroit House track. Did separation with RX8 to get the strings and also for the part with the guitar solo. Found the vocal samples while testing stuff around, some Ableton tape reverb space delay on them and they just jumped on top of the track with no effort.
