El senador independiente y ex jefe negociador del acuerdo de paz con las Farc habló en A fondo sobre la propuesta planteada por Gustavo Petro de hacer una constituyente a través del acuerdo de paz del 2016. Según esa tesis, un parágrafo del acuerdo, que dice que el Estado debe hacer un acuerdo nacional con todas las fuerzas vivas de la nación, le daría al presidente Petro la posibilidad de convocar una asamblea constituyente. Para Humberto de la Calle, esta interpretación no solo no tiene ningún asidero, sino que es un debate jurídico inoficioso, sobre todo en momentos en que el país enfrenta serios desafíos en materia de salud y de seguridad.
