For this @DarkScienceElectro Rewind, we take a listen to a track from the maiden voyage of seminal label @CPUrecords by Electro master @Cygnus Phillip Washington is an electronic musician based in Texas. His influences include Electro, IDM, experimental hardcore bass, and more. His technical approach mixes the versatility of software with the touch and feel of hardware to create a timeless mixture of electronic beats and melody. Cygnus has been producing music under this alias since 2011 and has brought us some of the freshest Electro of the last decade. He manages to pay homage to classic Electro, while at the same time pushing the genre forward. There is a certain feeling of soulfulness that can be heard in his music that, I think, isn't matched by anyone before or currently.
