O uso de metade do prejuízo fiscal é calculado com base no saldo restante das multas. Atualmente, as sete companhias que participam das negociações – Andrade Gutierrez, Braskem, Mover Camargo Corrêa, Nova Participações (antiga Engevix), Metha (antiga OAS), Novonor (antiga Odebrecht) e UTC Engenharia – devem cerca de R$ 11,7 bilhões. Isso significa que o governo pode abrir mão de cerca de R$ 5,8 bilhões. As empresas querem que o “desconto” seja calculado com base no valor total das multas. Neste caso, o abatimento poderia ultrapassar R$ 8 bilhões.
