Desde el inicio de su gobierno, el presidente Gustavo Petro ha impulsado una reforma a la salud que ha generado amplias discusiones y pocos consensos. En este nuevo episodio de nuestra serie Entendamos la salud, se encuentran dos voces con posturas opuestas: Andrés Forero, representante a la Cámara por el Centro Democrático y uno de los más críticos de la reforma, y Luis Carlos Leal, exsuperintendente de Salud, quien lideró intervenciones a varias EPS durante su corto paso por la entidad. Leal dejó el cargo tras polémicas relacionadas con auditorías a estas entidades, en medio de señalamientos sobre posibles redes de corrupción y desvío de recursos hacia paraísos fiscales. Ambos políticos, que se conocieron como miembros del Consejo de Bogotá —Forero por el Centro Democrático y Leal por la Alianza Verde—, hoy tienen visiones contrapuestas sobre cómo enfrentar la crisis del sistema de salud en Colombia.
