Ep 108: Solidarity, Not Sunshine (Sitting With the Hard Stuff)

from French Kissing Life · host Shawnna Stiver

I promised myself when I started this show that I wouldn’t turn pain into a performance or force hope where it doesn’t belong. This episode is me keeping that promise. It’s short, it’s quiet, and it’s an invitation to pause with what feels heavy without trying to make it neater or easier to digest.I share a moment that left me feeling unsteady and out of control, and how it opened a much bigger awareness of the despair, division, loneliness, and exhaustion so many of us are living inside of right now. I reflect on how often we only celebrate healing once it’s finished, and how isolating it can feel to still be in the middle of the story. If you’re tired in a way rest doesn’t touch, if you’re still grieving or unsure or simply doing your best to get through the day, I want you to know there is nothing wrong with you. Today isn’t about sunshine. It’s about solidarity, about being seen, and about knowing you don’t have to pretend you’re okay here.Mentioned in this episode:IG Post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DTivJfrEqRo/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==______________________Contact French Kissing Life PodcastDM us at @shawnnarstiver on Instagram or FacebookConnect with Shawnna Stiver on LinkedInEmail us at [email protected] Until next time, muah! ______________________French Kissing Life is sponsored by Ampersand Copy and Content.
