Bas Rutten is a mixed martial artist, Karate and Taekwondo black belt, and Muay Thai kickboxer. He was a UFC Heavyweight Champion and a three-time King of Pancrase World Champion. He finished his career on a twenty-two fight unbeaten streak. Bas is also a UFC Hall of Famer, inducted in 2015, and a member of the International Sports Hall of Fame, inducted in 2018.

In addition to his fighting career, Bas has had a successful acting career. He was featured on the movie, "Here Comes The Boom!", had a recurring role on "King of Queens" and "Kevin Can Wait", among many others, and has been digitally represented in multiple video games.

As an innovator, Bas was the inventor of the O₂ Trainer device, which has served as a revolutionary tool in the world of fitness.
