Ep. 15 // Is Training for Professional Drivers Really Necessary?

from Terminal Exchange

“I’ve been doing this for years; do I really need more training?” In this week’s Terminal Exchange, we dive deep into this question with Nussbaum Development Coordinator, Cory Adams. 4DX Spotlight Nathan Wertz is facilitating one of our two 4DX Driver Manager teams. Together, they are working to help get better information to our drivers more efficiently and reduce call volumes. The result? Our drivers get to spend less time waiting on the phone and more time doing what they love. Nathan joins us this week to talk about their team’s goal and the work they’ve done so far. Training Professional Drivers Who was the greatest basketball player of all time? Somewhere in the answer to that question, we might just find out why training for professional drivers is necessary. On this week’s episode, Cory Adams talks about the importance of continuous development. We also get to hear a few good stories from his basketball days. Quotes We all need reminders of the little thingsThere was a guy on the other team who was faking charges. I told myself if he did it to me I was going to step on him. Sure enough, he did it to me and, I didn’t even have to think, I stepped on him. My body reacted to what my mind had already planned out.Every minute, every second, every mile, it helps to be prepared.

Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation. Lynne's Podcast Lynne August MD Dr. A offers her interpretations and applications of Dr. Revici’s profound research at DrRevici.com and the Revici Journal. Dr. Revici was arguably fifty to one hundred years ahead of his time in his application of quantum physics to medical sciences. As a once-aspiring physicist, this alone propelled Dr. A to Dr. Revici. As a physician, she felt compelled, and in some palpable way responsible, to understand Dr. Revici’s ability to control pain and achieve remissions in terminal cancer patients with his non-toxic “guided chemotherapy”, even many cancers that conventional therapy failed to control. Most of the time his questions and solutions were as unprecedented as they were effective. While Dr. Revici was primarily focused on cancer, Dr. A’s research and therapeutics to prevent and treat all chronic and degenerative disease can transform 21st century medicine.
