Usually parents are careful with their firstborns, and then they become more relaxed with their secondborns. They just find a routine the second time around. Then both children are raised to love each other and can do whatever they'd like with their lives. Unfortunately, this is not the case in the Secondborn's dystopian society. Firstborns are absolutely cherished and treated as if they are fragile. They are privileged and inherit the entire families fortune/titles. However, if you are a secondborn, you are a ghost that gets sent into the military as soon as you are of age. Even though Roselle St. Sismode is the secondborn to the Sword (one of the most powerful families around) she will still suffer the same fate as all other secondborns. Yet, can she be the one to finally start a revolution and make change? Could she be the beacon of hope for all other secondborns? This week the Rosé Girls discuss book 1 in the Secondborn series by Amy A. Bartol.  You can drink along with us as we enjoy a bottle of Snoop Dogg's 19 Crimes Rosé. And...we clink 🥂🖤
