Ah, the famous words of Samantha Jones from Sex & The City, "I love you, but I love me more" has been the motto of my 2025. In today's episode, we discuss my journey with setting boundaries as someone who is an empath and overly understanding pushover. I share how I spent most of this year in slight turmoil with drama that was brought to me (and no I'm not just saying that to avoid accountability) where I had a choice to excuse behaviors just because someone was "in a bad place" or hold a mirror up to those relationships and say "I will only give you back what I'm getting and if disrespect is what I'm getting then this is the boundary that I am now setting between us." The journey hasn't been perfect, but it's been one of the most tiring albeit rewarding years of solidifying who I can really emotionally trust around me and who is forever outside the gates of my heart.
