Spring Cleaning for your Spring Awakening Challenge Day 2: CLEAR THE AIR Smudging the Power & Benefits of this ancient ritual​ The burning of natural substances has been used for cleansing, healing, and spiritual purposes for centuries.  The act of burning these herbs is called smudging.  It is a link that connects many different backgrounds, religions, and ethnicity. The burning of sage (or herb of choice) represents fire which is a transformer of energy.  How is this so?  When you ignite the sage with fire it begins to smolder creating smoke.  Smoke transpires into the air as energy.  By stating your intent to rid of your negative energy it can interact with the smoke and take it away.  The most important aspect of smudging (besides being safe with fire) is your intentions.  What are you trying to accomplish? clearing the air in your home or office clearing the air of all negativity attracting positive energy your way clearing the air of harmful bacteria clearing the air of uninvited spiritual guests inviting in spirit (always call for only good spirits or loved ones) blessing your home, car, office, store cleansing your crystals, pendulums, oracle cards, etc... healing rituals your storefront to attract customers By stating your intentions you can immediately increase your happiness and feel at peace after performing this sacred ritual. You can relieve stress and even attract love!  Because this is such a sacred ritual it HAS to be done with respect and not taken lightly.  After all, you are working with spirit and we can not, must not disrespect them.
