Episode 12 - Charlie Barlow

from The Motor Dream Podcast · host Conor McNally

In this 12th episode of the Motor Dream Podcast, Conor McNally delves into the dynamic world of Charlie Barlow, whose journey from her humble beginnings in Essex in southeastern England took her 10,000 miles to the other side of the world to Australia and into the high octane world of motor racing. A chance opportunity to attend the Gold Coast Indy event in 2008 transformed her life largely untouched by cars in her younger years to becoming a massive fan of the sport and in particular, V8 Supercars. As her interest in the sport grew larger, Barlow decided to pursue a media career in the sport, combining her passion and her media interests into a career. She nowadays plays an integral part of Supercars Media combining her role as big screen host and reporter with her other role as public relations executive for the Repco Supercars Championship. In addition to this, she adds in her contributions to mentoring girls and young women through the FIA Girls on Track program. Additionally, she juggles her busy professional life with the joys and challenges of motherhood, all while sharing her passion for the media and her 'inner bogan' love of cars.
