With roots in Belgium and headquarters in Tanzania, APOPO also maintains operations in Mozambique, Angola, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos. The HeroRATs and their human colleagues have cleared over eight million square meters of land in Mozambique and destroyed over 2,700 landmines. Meanwhile, they have found over 5,000 TB-positive patients originally misdiagnosed by local hospitals in Tanzania and Mozambique.
