Episode 24: WandaVision Finale

from Krypton To Alderaan · host KryptonToAlderaan

0:00 Intros and what we’re into 15:38 WandaVision 43:38 Why Didn’t / Don’t We Like Wanda? I forgot to tweet this link last week so I wanted to keep this language up top to remind everyone of this important cause: We, at Krypton to Alderaan, believe it is important to shed light on bigotry and injustice and to actively participate against it. Recently, a Star Wars castmember was fired due to their ignorance and bigotry. In response, a group of great and wonderful Star Wars fans created a GoFundMe: Trans Rights Are Human Rights: This is the Way to benefit the Transgender Law Center. So far, they have raised over $20,000. To show support to the Trans community, Krypton to Alderaan has made a donation and we encourage anyone out there listening to do the same. To quote the GoFundMe page: “let’s flood the Star Wars community with support, love, and vibrance for all gender identities.” Episode 24: This episode we talk about the WandaVision finale! We have a brief discussion of what we thought about this episode. You’ll never believe who among us enjoyed the finale. Was it a satisfying conclusion to this chapter of Wanda’s story? Were our eyes filled with double Vision?  Overall, what are the implications this series could have on the greater MCU going forward? Does this open the door to a broader range of properties within the franchise?; stories more focused on dealing with more than just punching and throwing moons - emotion, grief, trauma, real world, relatable storylines.  Finally, we have a very important discussion about why we haven’t liked or haven’t connected with Wanda based on her previous appearances within the MCU. Do we ever ask ourselves: what is the reason we don’t like/aren’t connected to these characters? Is it because of flaws and biases within the system that brings these characters to the screen? As usual, we have a surprise question - this time from a listener! - so stick around until the end! Thanks for listening! We would really like to know how people who are listening feel about the show so, if you could/want to, drop us a line @kryptonalderaan or at [email protected]. Give us a quick email or tweet and let us know how we’re doing. We’d really appreciate the feedback and it would help us to understand this whole podcasting thing going forward. If you want to take it to the next level, leave us a review wherever you’re listening to this.
