Episode 28 - Annabelle Rolfo

from The Motor Dream Podcast · host Conor McNally

Episode 28 of The Motor Dream Podcast delves into a heartwarming and potentially historic story in history of endurance racing at Bathurst. Our guest is the determined young Queenslander, Annabelle Rolfo, who is set to take on the gruelling Bathurst 6 Hour alongside her father, Carlos. This father-daughter pairing carries significant weight, echoing a single previous attempt back in 1993 when Ray Gulson and his daughter Tania, alongside Ray's son Graham, aimed to conquer the Bathurst 1000. Now, 32 years later, Annabelle and Carlos Rolfo were poised to rewrite that narrative. With Carlos's background in production cars, karting and Super Touring, and with enthusiastic backing from Carbiz for their new Toyota GR86, they were ready for the Ultimate Showroom Showdown - the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour. Annabelle, though relatively new to circuit racing, is no stranger to competition, having excelled in karting since the age of ten, including a Cadet 12 victory at the 2017 Australian Ladies’ Trophy. Her journey has taken her through the Radical Australia Cup, Queensland Prodsports, and the NSW Production Touring Cars Championship, even gaining valuable experience at Mount Panorama during Challenge Bathurst.
