Episode 285: Think on your Feet XL

from Drawn To The Flame · host Frank and Peter

CONTENT WARNING: this is a face-check playthrough, so it may contain shocking content. Join Frank for Think on your Feet XL, in which Amanda Sharpe concludes her sci-fi journey in Dark Matter, a fan-made campaign for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. In Think on your Feet episodes, a live play series, I endeavour not to edit much at all. Sometimes I cut some shuffling sounds or abbreviate some of my longer pauses (a chap's got to think!), but otherwise, it's uncut, unaltered and meant to feel like you're with me at the table. There may be mistakes and misplays, but hopefully some successes too. Timestamps:  0.00 intro, setup, act, agenda 6.27 ancestral knowledge and opening hand 9.42 gameplay begins 19.35 I think I misplay: I commit The Eye of Truth from under Amanda to Alienation and pass, which I believe means TEOT should've attached to Alienation and placed both cards in the victory display... 34.00 I seem to become obsessed with the word 'anyhoo'?? 51.30 I get in a bit of a tangle but I sort it out.  58.55 I add a resource on the Moonbase Laboratory even though I've carefully made sure not to be there... 1.18.00 My grasp of 'as if' is probably shaky at best, but I'm hoping I'm playing this right and not completely wrecking the scenario... 1.31.00 I miscount actions and shortchange myself one. 1.35.50 Major derp: I could've used the Pallid Mask to move! To... do something at the end! I catch that the Cassilda is once per turn but then forget the Pallid Mask - and I use the Pendant illegally... but I could've used the Pallid Mask so it works out nearly the same?
