The Storm managed to overcome a determined Bulldogs side, who capitalised off a momentum shift through some ill discipline shown by Storm, handing the Bulldogs field position and possession, who were coming home strong. Melbourne's defensive effort managed to deliver the home side the win, to secure a Top 2 finish, resulting in a Home Final in Week 1 at AAMI Park.
