We are uniting globally to defeat a common enemy.  The lessons learnt and the feelings we are experiencing will remain with us for the rest of our lives.  These challenges are helping us to reconnect with ourselves and each other.  Few of the problems we are facing can be solved by a single nation or government.  Our new normal will require us to reconnect with our authentic selves and develop our emotional intelligence. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile.
