Joel Fulton has recently left his CISO position at Splunk to immerse himself in the life of the Silicon Valley startups. Formerly he served as the Deputy Chief Security Officer at Symantec, Global Head of Risk at Google, and other security roles at Jefferson Wells, Starbucks, Boeing, North Cascades Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Security and Assurance. Currently, Joel is the Founder of a stealth mode startup and will join Michael to discuss how his journey in the field of security lead him to this venture. They will also touch on trends in security innovation, a perspective on how security was different or similar across the various companies they were part of, and some career tips for those interested in becoming a leader in Info Sec.
