The Gwan Anthology is a collection of creator-owned short stories, centered around themes of foreign lands, the immigrant experience and cultural fusion. To further discuss the story behind Gwan's creation are three guests from across the globe: Jerome Walford is a Brooklyn-based writer, illustrator and publisher. Under his Forward Comix imprint, Jerome has produced several titles including Nowhere Man, Moon's Ostrich and the aforementioned anthology, Gwan. As the Managing Editor of the Gwan anthology, Jerome personally oversaw each submission as well as contributing his own story entitled "The River." Arianna Mao is an illustrator, animator and graphic designer based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. Arianna continues to hone her craft and her talent is showcased in the Gwan anthology in a story titled "Journey to Oz." Paul Caggegi is an Australia-based artist, specializing in illustration and motion graphics. Going freelance in 2008, Paul has lent his talents to such companies as Nickelodeon and Saatchi & Saatchi. Paul contributed the story "Dear Giang" to the Gwan anthology and is currently writing/illustrating the creator-owned title, Pandeia.
