Craig tells us about his lack of interest in sport as a kid growing up, he wasn't interested in the rugby mad school he went to so he disengaged from anything sporty.

After qualifying to become a painter and decorator and building his own buisness, Craigs lifestyle had a detriment to his health. Craig lost five stone after giving up takeaways to become a  a super-fit triathlete when a cancer scare changed his life.

Everything changed for Craig Lane after was diagnosed with the pre-cancerous condition Barrett’s oesophagus – which affects the cells in the oesophagus – in 2011.

This  diagnosis completely changed Craigs outlook and from being the  “typical lad,” he started exercising, overhauled his diet  – got into triathlon qualified for Team GB.

Craig, as we will hear, has raced all over the world, he has set up his own coaching business and from not doing any sport as a kid he has made it an integral part of his life.
