David Benavidez will make the move up to Light Heavyweight and fight Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the interim WBC Light Heavyweight Belt according to ESPN Mike Coppinger. With the fight vs Canelo long in the distance, it seems like Benavidez will make the jump and aim to continue his journey of becoming world champion. Mike Coppinger has also confirmed that Gervonta Davis will return to the ring to fight Frank Martin for the vacated WBA Lightweight Belt. Gervonta Davis is currently the WBA Interim Champion and will look to become a world champion at 135 lbs. while Frank Martin is seeking his first world title opportunity.
