Fantasy, Lore, & More: The Sword of Light Trilogy

from Epic Fantasy Adventures, Books, Lore, and More! · host Melinda Kucsera

Hi, I'm indie fantasy author, Melinda Kucsera, and in this episode, Aaron Hodges is joining me to talk about his book, The Sword of Light Trilogy. What's it about? For five hundred years, the Gods have united the Three Nations in harmony. But now that balance has been shattered, and chaos threatens. Seventeen-year-old Eric finds himself hunted and alone, carrying a curse that brings death and destruction wherever he goes. When he's offered salvation by a man named Alastair, Eric learns the true nature of his curse - magic. As Alastair guides Eric to understand this power, they must confront the forces that seek to destroy the fragile peace of the Three Nations. The Sword of Light Trilogy is an epic fantasy series exploring themes of magic, prophecy, and the balance of power. Set in a world where the Gods have maintained harmony for centuries, this trilogy follows Eric's journey as he grapples with his magical abilities and their role in the impending chaos. What's in this episode: Aaron Hodges will take us into the world of the Three Nations with an excerpt from The Sword of Light Trilogy, and we'll explore aspects of that world, like the delicate balance of power, the role of the Gods, and the nature of the curse that plagues Eric. We'll find out what inspired this epic fantasy series and maybe get some insight into Aaron's approach to worldbuilding and character development. We'll discuss Eric's transformation from a hunted, cursed young man to someone awakening to the power of magic, and discover details about the prophecies, factions, and forces that threaten to upend the established order. Join us in a realm where the fragile peace of centuries hangs in the balance, where a young man's curse holds the key to salvation or destruction, and where the fate of the Three Nations rests on a razor's edge.
