Foundation: Jesus is the Temple (Part 4)

from The Way Church Iloilo · host The Way Church Iloilo

In the Old Testament, a biblical temple is a place where the presence of God is released and where God and man converge. But when Jesus came on earth, He became the temple of God.  “All right,” Jesus replied. “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” John 2:19Jesus was talking about His body when the Jewish leaders doubted His God-given authority. Right from the start, Jesus made it clear that the temple of God is for everyone, including the Gentiles. So when Jesus ascended to heaven, that same spirit that rested upon Him, rested upon us. You are the Temple of God. Key Takeaways:You’re not your own. You were bought at a price - the life of the Son of God. The message of the Gospel is not about going to heaven after we die, the message of the Gospel is for God and man to unite again.Spirit beings, while on earth, need a place to rest. They need a body. Even the Spirit of God needs a place to rest.God is zealous for your body.Glorify God with your body.We would like to hear your prayers.
